Should We Revoke PG&E’s California Charter ?

What does “Diablo Canyon’s” Nuclear power plant right near the San Andreas and Hosgri faults — have in common with :

  1. The San Bruno Pipeline explosion that killed at least 8 people,
  2. “Erin Brockovich” finding deadly Chromium 6 groundwater contamination in Hinkley, California (settled in 1996 for $333 million)
  3. the Energy Trading Fraud that cost California $20 Billion (with a “B”) a year from 2000 – 2003; which caused continuing higher prices,
  4. the “Smart”meter fraud, and
  5. Prop 16 – the ballot question trying to make it almost impossible for California cities to create Municipal Utility Districts that delivery electricity and gas cheaper and better than Utility Corporations ?

You know this one don’t you ?

They all are caused by the power corporation that Californians love to hate – called Pacific Gas and Electric or (“PG&E”).

But here’s something you probably didn’t know:

We can revoke the ability of an evil corporation to do business in California. We can ask a Judge to rescind their California Business License.

The authority to do so is is set out in Section 1801 of California’s Corporations Code:

“1801. (a) The Attorney General may bring an action against any domestic corporation or purported domestic corporation in the name of the people of this state, upon the Attorney General’s own information or upon complaint of a private party, to procure a judgment dissolving the corporation and annulling, vacating or forfeiting its corporate existence upon any of the following grounds:”

“(2) The corporation has fraudulently abused or usurped corporate privileges or powers.”

Here’s an article explaining the few simple steps to revoking the charter of a corporation in California: http://1hope.org/dslvcorp.htm

While some corporations act reasonably, PG&E has an long and outrageous systematic track record of their greed taking a far higher priority than their pretended concern over the safety and health of the California citizens it comes in contact with.

In San Bruno, Hinkley, and across the state, PG&E’s actions have killed California citizens, harmed the health and safety of many others, cost us billions in unnecessary charges, and they have tried to interfere with our democracy.

Since PG&E filed for bankruptcy April 6, 2001, they might even appreciate that we can help them get out of the energy business in California —

Here’s a sample letter requesting the Attorney General begin Charter Revocation for PG&E and other energy scoundrels: http://1hope.org/LOCK-4.DOC
