{"id":1132,"date":"2011-03-24T22:31:56","date_gmt":"2011-03-25T05:31:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/1hope.org\/hopeblog\/?p=1132"},"modified":"2011-03-28T12:23:06","modified_gmt":"2011-03-28T19:23:06","slug":"pge-proposes-insanley-greedy-smartmeter-opt-out-plan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/1hope.org\/hopeblog\/pge-proposes-insanley-greedy-smartmeter-opt-out-plan\/","title":{"rendered":"PG&#038;E Proposes Insanely Greedy and Vindictive Smartmeter Opt-Out Plan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>PG&#038;E reaffirmed their reckless &#8220;Corporate Greed Monster&#8221; reputation(1) with their Plan to financially gouge people who don&#8217;t want &#8216;Smart&#8217;meters.<\/p>\n<p>They outraged smartmeter opponents Today by proposing to charge those who prefer not to have the controversial meters $135 to refuse meter installation and $20 a month for ever. The second &#8220;choice&#8221; would cost $270 upfront and $14 each month.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nThe $20 or $14 per month is to send a meter reader out to your home.
